District News: Merger of Two Circuits 

From 1st September 2026, two Circuits in our Newcastle District are joining together to form one new Circuit: the Chester-le-Street and East Durham Circuits are becoming "Hope Circuit".

This new beginning will be marked in two ways, with a quiz night (Friday, 4th September 2026 at 7:00pm: A quiz and social event at Great Lumley Methodist Church, Front Street, Great Lumley, DH3 4JB) and a Circuit Service (Saturday, 5th September 2026 at 2:00pm:   Celebration of merger service at Hetton-le-Hole Methodist Church, Union Street, Hetton le Hole, DH5 9HU).
