Citizens' Advice Volunteers

Could you spare half a day a month to help others?
Gateshead Citizens Advice Centre (CAB) will be running advice services in Rowlands Gill every Tuesday morning and in Chopwell every Thursday morning from 20 July and we need people to 'meet and greet' service advice users as they arrive.
The job is really to put people at ease, explain the 'house rules' for using the buildings ( Strathmore Road Methodist Church or Chopwell Community Centre) take their names and addresses and explain what's likely to happen when they see an adviser, also ensure them of absolute confidentiality.
Full training will be given to all volunteers
We want to set up a rota of volunteers so you might expect to do a session once every 4 weeks from about 9am-1pm
We also need help distributing leaflets to promote the service.
