Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshipped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 28:16-20

We aim to make disciples of people through preparing God’s people for works of service and we encourage lifelong learning in the Christian faith. At Strathmore Road Methodist Church we seek to provide opportunities for people to develop their faith and understanding.

Discipleship groups

Discipleship Groups meet in homes for encouragement, fellowship, Bible study and prayer. Where a series is being followed in the Sunday services, the discipleship groups will often follow the series with Bible Studies. At other times, groups will decide on the topic to study.

Hope for Justice

Hope for Justice

Strathmore Road Methodist Church believe that human trafficking (the fastest growing organised crime in the world) is a modern day slavery and we are committed to ending it within the UK and abroad.

As Church Partners, we work with the organisation ‘Hope for Justice’ to raise money to support intelligence centres that identify victims of trafficking and supply the essential care victims need following their rescue. We also campaign on a national and international level on issues surrounding human trafficking.
