Children's Work Update

It’s now coming up to one year since I started in the the role of ‘Schools and Children's Worker’ for SRMC.

Reflecting on that year, it’s amazing to see the adventure Jesus has taken us on. Throughout the
year He has revealed himself to us as a team and our children in new and amazing ways. He has opened doors into schools, blessed us with new children and so much more. God is truly moving amongst our children at SRMC, He is building up amazing disciples, raising up strong leaders and growing our family.

In Sparks we are beginning to see some of our children transition into Rock Solid. This has been a joy to see as they continue their journey of faith and continue to grow in their relationship with Jesus. We hosted our annual Sparks BBQ in July which was attended by over 70 people!

In September we relaunch our Sunday Club with an entirely new format. Not only will we be running our normal groups, we will now be running a ‘Kids Church’ every other Sunday. This will be a chance to come together, to worship, play, discuss and grow together as a family. Please could you cover this new venture with prayer. We really feel we are following God's lead on this and want to bless Him, as well as the rest of SRMC.

Our work in local schools continues to grow: from September we have been working within three schools in our local area. It has been a blessing to work within Highfield and Rowlands Gill primary schools over the past year and we are very excited to start working with High Spen in September. Please pray that these relationships continue to develop, these children continue to encounter Jesus and that we continue to bless these schools.

It’s a joy to see what God is doing with our Children's Ministry, through Sparks, Messy Church, Holiday Fun, our Highfield Football Club, Sunday Club and our Schools Work. Please pray that we continue to enable these children to encounter Jesus, develop in their faith and feel at home in this Church.
