The Church surviving under lockdown

A sign of a successful organisation is it’s ability to change and adapt according to needs. Well, our Church has excelled in this during lockdown. Online church services every week, Zoom meetings for both business and worship, Whatsapp video calls and a community Whatsapp site for emotional and social support. Those who aren’t able to be online receive their fellowship and worship using the telephone, and an amazing pastoral phone system to ensure that no one is left alone. When all this is not enough and the need is greater, then the good old fashioned visit from the Minister is there. Alan rings the doorbell, stands well back and then supports with warm words and love. We have been so fortunate in these dark days, so ‘Thank You” to everybody who has worked so tirelessly to change and adapt.
