Community Hub Report: March 2026

The Hub was closed in half term week, the first Monday we have closed since taking over running the market in August 2024.

The number of customers has increased compared to the previous couple of months.

A Facebook page specifically for the hub was launched during February.

There were 6 requests for household support with 3 people given food bags and 3 people given vouchers as well as food.

There were 2 cases of repeated requests for vouchers which were declined following much discussion within the team.

The guidelines have been revised and an information sheet produced to try and bring clarity to the team and applicants.

However, seeking a balance between responding to real need while avoiding over dependancy on the fund is proving challenging.
