Caring For Young Fruit Trees 

Join us at Chopwell Methodist Church's newly planted orchard for this winter workshop on fruit tree care, on Saturday 6th December from 10.00 until midday.

We will be looking at how to care for young fruit trees, including how to create the right shape (formative pruning), staking and maintenance. The early years of a fruit tree are the most critical. Give them the right care and your trees will flourish into the future. 

The workshop will be facilitated by Than Gunabalasingham of Nourish the Wild CIC. Than is a horticultural educator, and is a trainer on accredited courses run by The Orchard Project, a national charity dedicated to the creation and restoration of community orchards.
